The Sustainability Centre
We are a learning and study centre, a beacon for sustainability, based in the heart of Hampshire's South Downs National Park in the UK.
We are an authentic model of sustainability. We share practical solutions to inspire and enable people to become the planet protectors and change makers that our world needs. We offer an immersive, practical and creative approach to education. We inspire and support change-makers. We make it possible for everyone to be part of eco evolution in action. |
About Us
With our position in the heart of the South Downs National Park, The Sustainability Centre could not enjoy a more idyllic setting.
The Centre is spread across 55 acres of woodland and natural chalk downland. Indeed, the sheer beauty of our surroundings is an enduring reminder of the importance of our work and goals. Our vision is to manage our land, our charity and our businesses as working examples of sustainability. |
We practise and promote sustainability as a process of making decisions which balance economic, social and environmental factors for positive benefit.
We nurture people and ideas. And in an increasingly uncertain world, we aim to provide positive messages and practical solutions for dynamic, creative change. In pursuing this goal, we welcome families and schools; professionals and special interest groups; walkers and cyclists on the South Downs Way; children and young people; and simply anyone with an interest in what we do. |
The Sustainability Centre is owned and operated by a charity, the Earthworks Trust, which was established in 1995. The Earthworks Trust (Reg No.1079866).
